“I just want you to know that I had a great experience working with Julia Grace. She is a very talented artist in so many mediums and I’ve seen her work compared to others and give her both thumbs up for the extra attention to detail and time she takes to get things just right. I had an old watch that still worked but the band, a bracelet style with pearls whose shellac wore off, made it look shabby. I asked her if she’d be willing to refurbish the band using her chain mail technique to create a new band that matched the style of the watch face. We first discussed things via e-mail and she was very careful to let me know what to expect from the different metals she could use e.g sterling, shiny aluminum, copper, etc and suggested things I hadn’t thought to consider. She was prompt in her e-mail responses and as a woman of integrity we agreed on a price and she stuck to it. She worked up some samples and I chose according to what looked best with the face. She ran into trouble at one point finding some rings in the right size to complete the project the way she pictured it but I’m so pleased that she kept me abreast of these delays and asked if I would like to have it back if I were in a hurry (completed but without the extra touches she envisioned) or if I would allow her to keep it to get it the way she pictured it in her mind to look best. I was in no hurry and it was worth the small delay. I had asked for a “dangle” at the end of the bracelet and she included some details like a small piece of turquoise that just set it off perfectly and made it the unique piece that I wanted it to be.”
