Blown Ink

Abstract Masterpieces

Course Description:
There is an artist in everyone and blown ink is a fun way for anyone to create dynamic and captivating pieces of abstract art. All you have to do is take a deep breath and blow! Have a blast creating twisting forms by blowing ink around on paper and experimenting with resists, colors, canned air, and other techniques. You can even illustrate your blots to create animals, flowers, monsters, and more. All ages are welcome. Be prepared to have fun!

Fab Fun For The Small Fry: Blown Ink Blast!
Come to the Main Line School Night’s Creutzburg Center for a morning of really fantastic kids’ activities including Blown Ink Blast!
What child doesn’t love blowing bubbles through a straw? Put that air blowing talent to creative use! Your child will have a blast blowing colored inks around on paper creating wild and crazy abstract forms. Come away with a greeting card to send to Grandmom or some artwork to hang on the fridge! Ink can splatter and stain, so please wear old clothes and be prepared for fun! Take home and additional 3 completed projects and/or food creations once you rotate through all the classes. Adults, please note that your presence is required as the kids move through but you are spectators only. No children under age 5. All supplies are included. Other stations are Spring Cupcake Decorating with Charlene Healy, Dumplings: Pockets of Goodness with Yoon Lee, and 3D Paper Fun with Pamela Olshefski.

Materials Provided:
Papers, inks, straws, resists, and other tools are provided. There will be some compressed air (the cans of electronics duster) and a hand bellows to share.

Materials Required For Students To Bring:
Please wear work clothes since ink will splatter and stain. Feel free to bring your own can of compressed air,  tools, specialty papers, or other items to ink (such as greeting cards, journals, etc.) if you would like, but it is not required.

Cost & Supply Fee:
Since I teach through art centers and community education centers course cost and supply fees vary depending on the location offering the class. Please see specific course listings below for detailed cost information.
